Intro:
Agar aapka MacBook ka logic board (motherboard) kharab ho gaya hai — power issue, ports fail, etc. — toh is guide se aap naya logic board install kar sakte ho. Yahan complete steps hain.


🧰 Tools You’ll Need

  • Phillips #00 screwdriver

  • T6 Torx screwdriver

  • Spudger (plastic pry tool)

  • (Optional) Tweezers


⚠️ Safety First

  • MacBook ko shutdown karo aur charger unplug karo.

  • Work on a clean, static-free surface.

  • Battery connector ko pehle disconnect karna zaroori hai — taaki koi short na ho.


📋 Step-by-Step Instructions


Step 1: Remove Lower Case Screws

  • MacBook ko ulta karo.

  • Neeche ke 10 screws hatayo:
    • 7 screws (~3 mm)
    • 3 screws (~13.5 mm) hinge ke paas


Step 2: Lift Off Lower Case

  • Lower case ko thoda uthaao aur peeche ki taraf slide karo to free mounting tabs.

  • Fir case ko hata lo.


Step 3: Disconnect the Battery

  • Spudger se battery connector ko gently logic board se lift karo aur disconnect karo.


Step 4: Disconnect the Fan

  • Fan connector ko logic board se spudger se pry karke nikaalo.

  • Thoda twist karke connector release karo — careful raho ki socket na toot jaye.


Step 5: Remove Fan Screws & Take Out Fan

  • Hatao ye screws:
    • 1 screw (7 mm, T6)
    • 2 screws (5.4 mm, T6)

  • Phir fan ko upper case se lift karo aur side mein rakh do.


Step 6: Disconnect Display Data Cable

  • Use the plastic pull tab on display data cable lock — rotate it toward the DC-In side.

  • Gently pull the display data cable connector straight out (parallel to board).

  • Do not pull up, warna connector damage ho sakta hai.


Step 7: Remove Display Data Cable Bracket

  • Remove two screws (8.6 mm + 5.6 mm Phillips) securing that bracket.

  • Lift the bracket out of the upper case.


Step 8: Disconnect Subwoofer / Right Speaker Connector

  • Use spudger to gently pry up the connector from the logic board.


Step 9: Disconnect the Camera Cable

  • Pull the camera cable connector toward optical drive to disconnect.

  • Careful: this socket is metal and can bend — align properly before reconnecting.


Step 10: Disconnect Other Cable Connectors

  • Disconnect connectors for optical drive, hard drive, trackpad using spudger.

  • For the keyboard ribbon cable, flip its ZIF socket retaining flap, then slide the cable out.


Step 11: Remove Keyboard Backlight Cable

  • Peel off any black tape covering the backlight cable socket.

  • Flip up its component and slide the backlight ribbon cable out.


Step 12: Disconnect Battery Indicator Cable

  • Pry off battery indicator cable connector from the logic board gently.


Step 13: Disconnect Microphone

  • Use spudger to lift microphone off the adhesive securing it to upper case.


Step 14: Remove Screws Holding DC-In Board & Logic Board

  • Remove screws on DC-In board: two 7 mm T6 Torx screws

  • Also remove five 3.3 mm T6 Torx screws and two 4 mm T6 Torx screws

  • Disconnect DC-In board connector from logic board


Step 15: Peel Off Tape from Speaker & Mic Cables

  • Remove tape over microphone cable connector and left speaker cable connector.


Step 16: Disconnect Left Speaker Cable

  • Pry up left speaker connector from logic board.


Step 17: Peel Off Left Speaker / Microphone Assembly

  • Carefully peel this assembly off adhesive binding it to logic board.


Step 18: Disconnect DC-In Board

  • Pull DC-In board connector from logic board.


Step 19: Lift Logic Board

  • Lift logic board from its left edge until ports clear upper case.

  • Pull board gently away — watch out for DC-In board that may get caught.


Step 20: Remove Heat Sink

  • Unscrew the four Phillips screws (8.5 mm) securing heat sink to logic board.

  • Under each screw is a spring — don’t lose them.

  • Then gently lift the heat sink off the logic board.

  • When reinstalling, apply fresh thermal paste evenly.


✅ Reassembly

Sab steps ko reverse order mein karein to install new logic board.
Check all connectors, screws, cables carefully.
