Is guide ka use karke aap broken hard drive cable replace kar sakte ho. Ye cable sleep LED aur IR sensor wires bhi carry karti hai.

  • Phillips #00 screwdriver

  • Spudger (plastic prying tool)

🛠 Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Remove Lower Case Screws

  • MacBook ko ulta rakho.

  • Neeche ke 10 screws nikaalo:
    • 3 screws — 14.4 mm Phillips #00
    • 3 screws — 3.5 mm Phillips #00
    • 4 screws — 3.5 mm “shouldered” Phillips #00

  • Jab wapas screws lagao, chhote screws ko case ki curved surface ke perpendicular direction mein align karo (seedhe down nahi jaate).

Step 2: Remove the Lower Case

  • Fingers se vent side ke paas lower case ko pry karo.

  • Lower case ko lift karke hatao.

Step 3: Disconnect the Battery Connector

  • Use spudger to gently lift the battery connector from its socket on logic board.

  • “Walk” the connector upward by lifting both short ends step by step so it comes out cleanly.

  • Be very careful with the corners — they are fragile and can break.

Step 4: Bend Battery Cable

  • Battery cable ko thoda sa side mein bend karo taki woh socket ya other parts se contact na kare jab baaki steps kar rahe ho.

Step 5: Remove Hard Drive Bracket Screws

  • Do Phillips screws hatao jo hard drive bracket ko upper case se secure karte hain.

  • Ye screws permanently bracket ke saath attached rahenge.

Step 6: Remove the Hard Drive Bracket

  • Bracket ko gently nikaalo. Kabhi kabhi bracket upper case se tightly seated ho sakti hai.

Step 7: Lift the Hard Drive

  • Attached pull tab ka use karke hard drive ko upper case se lift karo.

  • But puri tarah nikaalna abhi mat karo — hisssa cable abhi bhi attached hai.

Step 8: Pull Hard Drive Cable Away from Drive

  • Drive ke edge se cable gently pull karo taaki drive se thodi door ho jaaye.

  • Ab hard drive nikaal sakte ho agar chaho.

Step 9: Remove Hard Drive Cable Connector from Logic Board

  • Flat end of spudger ka use karke hard drive cable connector ko logic board se gently pry up.

  • Cable ab logic board se disconnect ho jaayegi.

Step 10: Remove Screws Fixing Cable to Front Case

  • Hatao yeh 4 screws:
    • 2 screws — 3 mm Phillips
    • 2 screws — 9.7 mm Phillips

Step 11: Peel Up the IR / Sleep LED Ribbon Cable

  • Thin ribbon cable jo IR sensor / sleep LED ke liye hai, usse adhesive se gently peel karo from the upper case.

Step 12: Pull Front Sensor Bracket

  • Front sensor / bracket assembly ko upper case ke front edge se gently pull karo.

  • Ye assembly IR sensor + sleep LED ribbon ki backing banati hai.

Step 13: Remove the Hard Drive Cable

  • Ab purana hard drive cable puri tarah nikaalo.

  • Agar naya cable ke saath adhesive foam bumpers diye gaye hain, unhe apply karo jaisa zarurat ho for tight fit.

  • Dhyan rahe: Kuch replacement cables default sensor bracket nahi laate; agar aapka cable nahi laata, toh purane bracket ko transfer karna padega.

  • Cable ke ZIF connector par spudger use karo, flip the locking “lever”, aur yellow sensor ribbon cable ko gently slide out.

  • Pry the hard drive cable gently off the sensor bracket adhesive and attach new cable similarly.

  • Many repairers wrap thick part of cable in electrical tape to avoid it rubbing against case ridges, causing short or break.

🔄 Reassembly

Sab steps reverse karke naya hard drive cable install karo, drive wapas lagao, battery connect karo, lower case lagao, aur screws wapas tighten karo.
