Intro:
Agar aapke MacBook ke neeche wale rubber feet (pads) pura ya kuch nikal gaye hain, toh laptop uneven baithega ya slip karega. Is guide se aap new feet laga sakte ho.
🧰 What You’ll Need
Phillips #00 screwdriver
Tweezers (optional)
Adhesive remover (optional)
Isopropyl alcohol wipe
Replacement feet kit (pressure-sensitive adhesive type usually)
📋 Steps
Step 1: Remove the Lower Case Screws
MacBook ko ulta karo.
Neeche ke 10 screws loosene karo:
• 3 screws — 14.4 mm Phillips #00
• 3 screws — 3.5 mm Phillips #00
• 4 screws — 3.5 mm “shouldered” Phillips #00Note: Jo small screws hain, unki alignment thodi curved surface ke liye hai — straight down nahi jaate.
Step 2: Remove the Lower Case
Vent (air vent) ke paas se lower case ko fingers se gently pry karo.
Pura panel upar uthao aur hata lo.
Step 3: Remove Old Feet
Jo feet broken ya damaged hain, unhe remove karo.
Agar foot ke kuch parts hole mein stuck hain, tweezers se nikaalo.
Old adhesive tape ya residue bhi peel karo carefully.
Step 4: Clean the Foot Pad Areas
Adhesive remover se purane glue ko scrub karo.
Phir isopropyl alcohol wipe se area ko saaf karo, taaki residue na rahe.
Step 5: Peel Off New Feet
Replacement foot ko plastic backing se peel karo.
Step 6: Align and Place the New Foot
Foot pad ke andar alignment nub (small tab) ho sakta hai — ise foot hole ke pass chhote gap ke saath match karo.
Foot ko gently place karo, alignment theek rakhte hue.
Inside se bhi check karo ki nub hole ke saath match ho.
Step 7: Press and Secure
Foot par 30 seconds tak firm pressure apply karo.
Lower case ka doosra side ya adjacent area support karo jab foot press kar rahe ho.
Broken feet hain toh un sab steps repeat karo.
✅ Reassemble
Jo steps aapne lower case hatate waqt kiye the, unko reverse order mein karo.
Lower case lagao, screws tighten karo (dhyan se — long vs short screws correct jagah).
