Agar aapka Wi-Fi ya Bluetooth kaam nahi kar raha ho, toh problem AirPort/Bluetooth board mein ho sakti hai. Is guide se aap us board ko replace kar sakte ho.


🧰 Tools You’ll Need

  • Phillips #00 screwdriver

  • Spudger (plastic pry tool)

  • Tweezers (optional)


⚠️ Safety & Prep

  • MacBook ko shutdown karo aur charger unplug kar do.

  • Work surface static-free rakhna.

  • Battery connector ko pehle disconnect karna zaroori hai taaki internal parts safe rahen.


🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Remove Lower Case Screws

  • Neeche ke 10 screws remove karo:
    • 3 screws of 14.4 mm (Phillips #00)
    • 3 screws of 3.5 mm (Phillips #00)
    • 4 screws of 3.5 mm but with shoulders (Phillips #00)

  • Note: Small screws aligned to the curve of case, straight down nahi jaate.

Step 2: Remove Lower Case

  • Fingers se lower case ko vent ke paas se pry karo.

  • Gently lift and remove the lower case.

Step 3: Disconnect Battery

  • Use the edge of spudger to lift battery connector from logic board.

  • Lift from both short ends (“walk” it out), careful corners na damage karo.

Step 4: Bend Battery Cable

  • Thoda sa battery cable ko away bend karo so it na accidentally touch socket during work.

Step 5: Disconnect AirPort / Bluetooth Ribbon Cable

  • Flat end spudger se ribbon cable connector from logic board pry up.

  • Carefully lift it — corners fragile ho sakte hain.

Step 6: Disconnect Camera Cable

  • Pull camera cable parallel (sideways), not upward — to avoid damage.

Step 7: Peel Camera Cable from Bracket

  • While lifting AirPort board, detach camera cable adhesive from bracket.

  • De-route camera cable out from under retaining finger in bracket.

Step 8: Disconnect Nearest Antenna Connector

  • Use spudger tip to lift the antenna cable connector closest to logic board off its socket.

  • Also route the cable out from under bracket finger.

Step 9: Disconnect Remaining Antenna Connectors

  • Similarly lift the remaining three antenna cable connectors.

  • De-route their cables from slots in bracket.

Step 10: Remove Board Mounting Screws

  • Remove 5 screws:
    • 2 screws of 10.3 mm (Phillips)
    • 2 screws of 3.1 mm (Phillips)
    • 1 screw of 5 mm (Phillips)

Step 11: Remove AirPort / Bluetooth + Subwoofer Assembly

  • Pull up the assembly (which includes subwoofer) from near optical drive side

  • Mind antenna contacts near the upper case corner.

Step 12: Detach AirPort / Bluetooth Board from Bracket

  • Peel off EMI tape covering cable connector.

  • Remove 3 screws (3 mm Phillips) securing board to bracket.

  • Carefully lift the board out — be careful of small thermal pad attached to bracket.


🔁 Reassembly

Reinstall in reverse order:

  • Mount new AirPort/Bluetooth board to bracket

  • Reconnect antenna cables, camera cable, ribbon cable

  • Place the assembly back in spot

  • Reconnect battery, lower case, and screws
