💡 Introduction
In this guide, we’ll show you how to replace the microphone in your MacBook Pro 13-inch (Early 2011).
Agar aapka MacBook ka mic kaam nahi kar raha ya sound distorted aa raha hai, toh is guide se aap usse replace kar sakte ho.
🧰 What You’ll Need
Phillips #00 screwdriver
Torx T6 screwdriver
Spudger (plastic pry tool)
Replacement microphone module
Thoda patience aur careful handling 😅
🔩 Step 1: Remove the Lower Case
Flip your MacBook upside down.
Remove 10 screws:
3 × 14.4 mm Phillips #00
3 × 3.5 mm Phillips #00
4 × 3.5 mm shouldered Phillips #00
Jab small screws wapas lagao, thoda angle mein daalna (case thoda curved hota hai).
⚙️ Step 2: Take Off the Lower Case
Fingers se vent area ke paas se case ko thoda pry karo.
Slowly lower case ko utha ke side mein rakho.
🔋 Step 3: Disconnect the Battery
Spudger ka use karke battery connector ko logic board se gently upar ki taraf lift karo.
Corners se dhire-dhire pry karo — zyada force mat lagao.
Step 4: Bend Battery Cable Out of the Way
Battery cable ko thoda side mein bend kar do taaki kaam karte waqt accidentally connect na ho jaye.
🌬️ Step 5: Disconnect the Fan Connector
Spudger se fan connector ko seedha upar ki taraf lift karo.
Thoda twist motion use karo taaki socket pe stress na pade.
Dhyaan rahe, plastic fan socket fragile hota hai — todna nahi hai 😅.
Step 6: Remove the Fan Screws
Fan ke 3 screws nikaalo:
1 × 7.2 mm T6 Torx
2 × 5.3 mm T6 Torx
Ab fan ko gently upar uthao aur side mein rakho.
Step 7: Disconnect Cables from Logic Board
Spudger se neeche diye gaye cables gently disconnect karo:
Right speaker / subwoofer cable
Camera cable
AirPort / Bluetooth cable
Optical drive cable
Hard drive cable
Trackpad cable
Step 8: Disconnect Keyboard Ribbon Cable
Keyboard ke ZIF socket ka small locking flap flip up karo.
Phir ribbon cable ko softly bahar nikaalo.
Agar tight ho, tape lagake pull karna easy hota hai.
Step 9: Disconnect Keyboard Backlight Cable
Agar black tape lagi ho socket pe, pehle usse remove karo.
Phir backlight cable ke ZIF socket ka flap open karo aur cable bahar nikaalo.
Step 10: Disconnect Sleep Sensor / Battery Indicator Cable
Spudger ke flat end se is connector ko gently upar lift karo.
Step 11: Disconnect Display Data Cable
Display data cable ke black plastic tab ko DC-In board side ki taraf rotate karo.
Phir cable ko socket se seedha bahar kheenchna hai, upar nahi — warna socket toot sakta hai.
Step 12: Remove Logic Board Screws
Logic board ko hold karne wale screws nikaalo:
5 × 3.6 mm T6 Torx
2 × 4.3 mm T6 Torx
2 × 7.2 mm T6 Torx
Screw sizes thodi vary kar sakti hain depending on model.
Step 13: Remove Display Data Cable Retainer
2 screws nikaalo:
1 × 8.6 mm Phillips
1 × 5.5 mm Phillips
Phir display data cable retainer ko remove karo.
Step 14: Peel Off the Microphone
Spudger ki tip se microphone ko us adhesive se gently peel karo jahan woh upper case pe chipka hota hai.
Dheere-dheere uthao, wire ko pull mat karo.
Step 15: Remove the Logic Board
Optical drive side se logic board ko thoda upar uthao.
Ensure sab connectors free ho aur DC-In board cable fasa na ho.
Logic board ko carefully lift karke bahar nikaalo.
Step 16: De-route the Microphone Cable
Microphone cable ko left speaker housing ke groove se nikaalo.
Step 17: Remove Tape Over Microphone Connector
Mic connector pe lagi black tape ko gently peel karo.
Step 18: Disconnect Microphone Connector
Spudger se wire ke neeche se lift karo aur mic connector ko logic board se disconnect karo.
Step 19: Remove the Microphone
Ab microphone module ko logic board se completely remove kar lo.
Bas — old mic out! 😄
🔁 Reassembly
To put everything back together, follow all the steps in reverse order:
Naya microphone install karo.
Sab connectors dubara attach karo.
Logic board, fan, aur lower case ko reinstall karo.
Battery ko last mein reconnect karo.
💡 Final Tips
Saare connectors tight fit hon aur cables pinched na ho.
System ko power on karke mic test kar lo (use “Voice Memos” or “QuickTime”).
Agar voice clear aa rahi hai — mission successful! 🎉
