🔧 Intro

In this guide, we’ll show you how to replace the MagSafe DC-In board on your MacBook Pro 13-inch Unibody (Early 2011).
Yeh part basically wohi jagah hota hai jahan charger connect hota hai — agar charging issues aa rahe hain, toh yeh board replace karna zaroori ho sakta hai.

🧰 What You’ll Need

  • Phillips #00 screwdriver

  • Torx T6 screwdriver

  • Spudger (ya koi thin plastic pry tool)

  • Replacement MagSafe DC-In board

  • Patience 😅

🪛 Step 1: Remove the Lower Case

  • Flip your MacBook upside down.

  • Remove 10 screws:

    • 3 × 14.4 mm Phillips #00

    • 3 × 3.5 mm Phillips #00

    • 4 × 3.5 mm shouldered Phillips #00

  • Jab small screws wapas lagao, thoda angle mein daalna — straight down mat karo, warna threads kharab ho sakte hain.

⚙️ Step 2: Open the Lower Case

  • Use your fingers to lift the lower case from the vent area near the hinge.

  • Slowly lift it off — easy rakho, force mat lagao.

  • Ab aapka MacBook andar se open hai 👀

🔋 Step 3: Disconnect the Battery

  • Spudger ki help se battery connector ko logic board se gently upar ki taraf pry karo.

  • Don’t pull it straight or hard — connectors fragile hote hain.

  • Disconnect karne ke baad cable ko thoda side mein fold kar do, taaki accidentally reconnect na ho.

🌬️ Step 4: Disconnect and Remove the Fan

  • Fan connector ko spudger se seedha upar ki taraf lift karo (side se mat kheecho).

  • Remove these screws:

    • 1 × 7.2 mm T6 Torx

    • 2 × 5.3 mm T6 Torx

  • Ab fan ko carefully upar uthao aur side mein rakho.

🔌 Step 5: Disconnect Cables from Logic Board

  • Ab kuch connectors unplug karne hain — sab spudger se gently karo:

    • Right speaker / subwoofer cable

    • Camera cable

    • AirPort / Bluetooth cable

    • Optical drive cable

    • Hard drive cable

    • Trackpad cable

⌨️ Step 6: Disconnect Keyboard & Sensor Cables

  • Keyboard ribbon cable ke socket pe chhoti flap hoti hai — use flip up karo.

  • Fir cable ko gently bahar nikaalo.

  • Same with keyboard backlight and sleep sensor cable.

  • Cables kaafi patle hote hain — patience rakho, force mat lagao.

🧠 Step 7: Remove the Logic Board

  • Remove the following screws:

    • 5 × 3.6 mm T6 Torx

    • 2 × 4.3 mm T6 Torx

    • 2 × 7.2 mm T6 Torx

  • Gently lift the logic board from the optical drive side first.

  • Dhyan rahe — DC-In board cable still attached hoga, toh pull mat karo.

⚡ Step 8: Remove the MagSafe DC-In Board

  • DC-In board ke cable ko heat sink ki direction mein kheench ke disconnect karo (upar se mat kheenchna).

  • Fir MagSafe DC-In board ko nikaal lo.

  • Bas — yehi tha culprit jo charging issue cause kar raha tha 😄

🔁 Reassembly

To put everything back together, follow all steps in reverse order.
Make sure sab cables tight fit ho, aur battery reconnect karna end mein hi karo.

💡 Tips

  • Jab MacBook close karne se pehle check kar lo ki sab connectors properly fitted hain.

  • Power on karne se pehle battery connection dobara inspect karo.

  • If charging LED light turns on, congrats — kaam ho gaya! 🎉
