Introduction
Agar aapka left speaker blown ho gaya hai ya sound sahi nahi aa raha hai, toh is guide se aap usko replace kar sakte hain.
What You Need
Phillips #00 screwdriver
T6 Torx screwdriver
Spudger (plastic pry tool)
Replacement left speaker
Anti-static workspace
Step 1 — Remove Lower Case Screws
MacBook ko ulta rakho.
Niche cover ko hold karte 10 screws hatao:
• 3 × 14.4 mm Phillips #00
• 3 × 3.5 mm Phillips #00
• 4 × 3.5 mm shouldered Phillips #00Jab screws wapas lagao, ensure wo case ke slight curve ke perpendicular ho (seedha down nahi).
Step 2 — Remove Lower Case
Vent wali side ke paas fingers se lower case ko body se pry karo gently.
Jab mounting clips release ho jaayein, lower case ko lift karke hatao.
Step 3 — Disconnect Battery Connector
Spudger ki edge se battery connector ko logic board se upar pry karo.
Dono chhote sides se alternatingly pry karna (“walk it out”) is safer, because connector corners bahut delicate hote hain.
Step 4 — Bend Battery Cable
Battery cable ko thoda sa bend karo socket se door, taki working ke dauran accidentally reconnect na ho jaaye.
Step 5 — Disconnect Fan Connector
Spudger ka flat end use karke fan connector ko logic board se upar pry gently.
Aap spudger ko wires ke neeche twist kar sakte ho thoda, to release the connector.
Dhyaan rahe: fan socket plastic ka hota hai, toot sakta hai if forced.
Step 6 — Remove Fan Screws
Niche fan ko logic board se fix karne wale 3 screws nikaalo:
• 1 screw — 7.2 mm T6 Torx
• 2 screws — 5.3 mm T6 Torx
Step 7 — Lift Fan Out
Fan ko gently apni recess se nikaalo, ensuring cable kisi part me catch na ho.
Step 8 — Disconnect Right Speaker / Subwoofer Cable
Use tip of spudger to pull the right speaker / subwoofer cable out from under the molded retaining finger in the upper case.
Then pull cable upward to remove connector from logic board.
Step 9 — Disconnect Camera Cable
Camera cable ko logic board se pull karo.
Cable ko board ke face ke parallel direction se kheecho — upar mat kheecho, warna damage ho sakta hai.
Step 10 — Disconnect Other Cables
Disconnect these four cables using spudger’s flat end (prying their connectors upward):
• AirPort / Bluetooth cable
• Optical drive cable
• Hard drive cable
• Trackpad cable
Step 11 — Keyboard Ribbon Cable
Fingernail ya spudger se retaining flap on the keyboard ribbon cable’s ZIF socket ko flip up.
Spudger tip se ribbon cable ko gently socket se pull karo.
Agar cable insert karne me tough ho, temporarily tape ka help lo.
Step 12 — Remove Backlight Tape
Agar keyboard backlight cable socket par chhota black tape hai, usko dhyaan se peel karo.
Step 13 — Keyboard Backlight Cable
Flap ko flip up on its ZIF socket, phir backlight ribbon cable ko gently pull out.
Step 14 — Sleep Sensor / Battery Indicator Connector
Spudger ka flat end use karke sleep sensor / battery indicator connector ko logic board se upar pry karo.
Step 15 — Disconnect Display Data Cable
Pull the plastic tab on the display data cable lock and rotate it toward the DC-In side.
Then pull the display data cable straight out of its socket, in parallel to logic board face — never lift upward, socket fragile.
Step 16 — Remove Heat Sink Screws
Remove 9 T6 Torx screws securing the heat sink:
• 5 screws — 3.6 mm
• 2 screws — 4.3 mm
• 2 screws — 7.2 mm
(In some variants, they may be slightly shorter: 5 × 3.0 mm, 2 × 3.6 mm, 2 × 6.7 mm)
Step 17 — Remove Display Data Cable Retainer
Remove these two screws:
• 1 × 8.6 mm Phillips
• 1 × 5.5 mm PhillipsRemove the display data cable retainer from the upper case.
Step 18 — Peel Microphone from Adhesive
Use spudger tip to gently peel the microphone off adhesive holding it to the upper case.
Step 19 — Remove Logic Board
With many connectors along its edges, lift logic board from the end near optical drive.
Without bending it, maneuver it out of the upper case.
Be extra careful about the flexible DC-In connector so it doesn’t snag.
Step 20 — De-route Microphone Cable
De-route the microphone cable from its slot molded into the left speaker enclosure.
Step 21 — Remove Tape Covering Speaker Connector
Peel off the small piece of black tape that covers the left speaker connector.
Step 22 — Disconnect Left Speaker Connector
Use spudger’s flat end to pry the left speaker connector up from its socket on the logic board.
Pry from under the wires, not from above.
Step 23 — Remove Left Speaker
Left speaker is glued with foam adhesive — carefully pry it off.
Remove the left speaker fully from the upper case.
Reassembly
To reassemble, just follow these steps in reverse order:
Place left speaker back
Connect speaker connector
Reapply tape if needed
Re-route microphone cable
Install logic board
Re-apply heat sink, data cable retainer, screws
Reconnect display data cable, sensor, backlight, keyboard, trackpad, hard drive, optical, AirPort/Bluetooth cables
Reconnect camera, speaker/subwoofer cables
Install fan, tighten screws, reconnect fan connector
Reconnect battery
Mount lower case cover, tighten bottom screws
After that power on and test the left speaker to make sure sound is working properly.
