Step 2: Lift Lower Case
Lower case ko thoda lift karo aur peechhe slide kar do so that mounting tabs release.
Remove the lower case fully.
Step 3: Disconnect Battery

Step 5: Disconnect Camera Cable
Camera cable ko straight parallel tarikese pull karo (not upward) to detach from logic board socket.
Step 6: De-route Camera Cable
Camera cable ko optical drive area ke channel se route se nikaalo / free karo.
Step 7: Remove Camera Bracket
Unscrew screws (two 10 mm & one 3.8 mm Phillips) holding camera cable bracket.
Slide bracket out from under subwoofer area and remove.
Step 8: Detach Display Data Cable
Use the plastic pull tab on the display data cable lock — rotate it toward DC-In side, then pull connector straight from its socket.
Don’t pull straight up — always parallel to board.
Step 9: Remove Display Data Cable Bracket
Remove two screws (8.6 mm + 5.6 mm Phillips) holding the display data cable bracket.
Lift the bracket out of upper case.
Step 10: Remove Foam Tape (if any)
If there is a foam tape over display screws near data cable, remove it.
Step 11: Remove Display Brackets
Remove outer four T8 Torx screws (6.5 mm each) that secure display brackets to upper case (2 per side).
Step 12: Remove Lower Display Bracket Screw
With display and upper case held together, remove remaining T8 screw securing lower bracket.
Step 13: Free Last Screw
Hold display & upper case together. Remove final T8 Torx screw holding display to upper case.
Step 14: Separate Display & Upper Case
Gently tilt display away from upper case so bracket edges clear.
Carefully rotate display outward to detach.
Step 15: Heat & Soften Adhesive for Front Glass (if needed)
Use heat gun on low to warm the black adhesive strip around glass edges (start upper right corner).
Avoid heating the rubber strip around glass edges — it can melt or deform.
You may see condensation forms inside — clean later.
Step 16: Attach Suction Cup
Place suction cup near upper right corner of glass (away from rubber border).
Pull gently while using spudger under edges to separate glass from display.
Step 17 onward: Free Glass Edges
Continue heating edges and prying along right, top, left, and bottom edges, gradually freeing the glass.
Use suction and spudger in small increments, don’t force it.
Use a thin plastic pick if needed to prevent glass sticking back.
Step 25 (approx): Detach LCD Panel
Once front glass is removed, you will see screws holding LCD to bezel (six screws: four 3.25 mm, two 3.2 mm).
Remove those, tilt LCD upward from bottom edge, then carefully pull out upper edge of LCD from display assembly.
Reassembly
Reverse all steps:
Place new LCD panel, secure with screws
Reconnect display cable, camera, speaker, etc.
Reattach display brackets and screws
Place new or original front glass (if replacing glass)
Reconnect battery
Refit lower case screws
✅ Final Check
Power on MacBook – check display clarity, no dead pixels, correct brightness.
Ensure camera works (if camera cable reconnected).
