Agar aapka MacBook ka front glass cracked ho gaya hai, scratches hain, ya just fresh look chahte ho — bina poore display ko replace kiye aap sirf glass panel hi naya laga sakte ho. Is guide se aap step-by-step yeh process kar sakte ho.

Tools You’ll Need:

  • Phillips #00 screwdriver

  • Spudger

  • Plastic opening tool

  • Heat gun (set on low) or hair dryer

  • Suction cup

  • (Optional) Guitar pick or thin plastic card

Safety & Prep:

  • MacBook ko shutdown karo aur MagSafe unplug karo.

  • Work area ko clean aur static-free rakhna best hota hai.

  • Glass jo delicate hota hai — carefully handle karo.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Remove Lower Case

  • MacBook ko safe surface par ulta rakhdo.

  • Neche ke total 10 screws remove karo:

    • 7× 3 mm (short)

    • 3× 13.5 mm (long, hinge side)

  • Bottom panel ko gently lift karo and back towards hinge point slide karke remove karo. iFixit+1

Step 2: Disconnect Battery

  • Spudger ka flat end use karte hue battery connector ko logic board se gently lift karo—avoid electric discharge. iFixit

Step 3: Disconnect Display & Camera Cables

  • Subwoofer or right speaker cable ko logic board se gently unplug karo.

  • Camera cable ko straight and parallel (not upward) withdraw karo. iFixit

Step 4: Remove Display Assembly

  • De-route camera cable from optical drive area.

  • Remove few screws holding the display bracket (Phillips).

  • Open display to perpendicular angle, support it and remove hinges’ T8/T6 screws. Carefully lift display without dropping. iFixit

Step 5: Heat the Front Glass Adhesive

  • Display ko flat surface pe carefully lay down.

  • Gently warm the black adhesive strip around the front glass edges using low heat. 

Step 6: Lift Off the Front Glass

  • Attach suction cup near glass edge. Pull softly.

  • Use spudger to gently pry; insert between glass and LCD to detach around top/right edges. 

Step 7: Remove and Replace Glass Panel

  • Once edges are released, lift up and rotate glass out.

  • Clean inside of glass and LCD before reassembly—dust or fingerprints are very visible. 

Step 8: Reassemble Display & MacBook

  • New glass ko correct position mein align karo.

  • Display ko wapas base se hata-panel attach karo, hinges secure karo.

  • Reconnect camera and speaker cables.

  • Battery connect karo.

  • Lower case wapas fit karke 10 screws tighten karo.

Final Check:

  • MacBook on karo.

  • Confirm karo ki glass clean, aligned, aur secure hai.

  • Display clarity aur touch (if applicable) sahi hai ya nahi verify karo.

Extra Tips:

  • Heat it slowly—high heat can melt rubber strip around display.

  • Use a guitar pick to keep lifted edges separated until adhesive fully loosened.

  • This method lets a fresh glass look without replacing full LCD — cost-effective solution.
